Just yesterday alone, singapore has confirm 95cases of swine flu. and i would not be surprise if there are death cause by H1N1 in singapore. In every country, it seems the flu is getting more n more serious and not better..
Even now in my workplace, we have to divide into 2teams. Just incase on person is infected, at least only one team is quarantine. there will still be another team left to man the office. But what if there are ppl from both team being infected? maybe we just close shop for a week? kind of stupid way to prevent swine flu. but its still better than not doing anything.
michael jackson died today. one so famous, rich that he can have whatever he wanted.. except health.. Poof.. in a blink of eye, the death god have claim our king of pop away just like that.. Life is really so fragile..
we would not know when we will be infected with the swine flu, or bird flu.. we would not know when our heart will give us some problem and we just collapse.. everyday we take, is one day closer to our death.. so since we know we will die eventually.. Why do ppl still work so hard, play with politics to climb up the company? earn so much money? buy branded stuff? after we die these stuff will not follow us..
why not just earn enough without working that hard? enjoy the every single secs of our lifes. with the nature, friends, family, and love one. treasure the bonds that we have.. Or learn new knowledge, skills. you never know maybe you will be building your own coffin one day. these stuff will be in you, you do not need to fear anyone or anything can take them away from you..

Keiko Kitagawa, very commonly known as Sailor Mars in the short lived live action series of Sailor Moon, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (PGSM), is a seventeen magazine model turned actress and singer. Born on August 22nd 1986 in Hyogo Perfecture, Japan, Keiko has a lived an unexpected life. From growing up in Kobe and losing many friends in the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake to being uncertain about her childhood dream of being a doctor. Fortunately, fate had other plans for Keiko when she was scouted by a talent agency who recognized her as a born star. Approval from her parents was not an easy task because their main concern was her studies and having her graduate from a university. In the end, Keiko proved to be victorious winning Miss Seventeen 2003 and landing a modeling contract until 2006. During that time, Keiko won the role of Rei Hino aka Sailor Mars in the live action series of Sailor Moon, her first acting role. After that infamous role, she starred in a numerous of movies. One in particular was Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, in which she had a small role but had a chance to come to the United States for filming and premiers. Synopsis
Twenty years later, an adult Mike (played by Matthew Perry) finds his life is not exactly what he expected. He is separated from his wife, Scarlett (Leslie Mann) and living with his wealthy software genius nerd and best friend Ned Freedman (Thomas Lennon), his career at a pharmaceutical company is at a stand still, and his relationships with his teenage children are nonexistent. After getting passed up for yet another promotion at work, he returns to his high school to reminisce over his basketball awards and the life he could have had. While he is reliving his glory days, he is approached by a janitor and shares with him how things were so much better when he was 17.
As Mike is driving home from the high school, he sees the mysterious janitor standing on the ledge preparing to jump into the Los Angeles River. Mike rushes out of his car to rescue him, but when he gets there, the janitor has vanished. What Mike doesn’t realize is that he is about to fall into the river and turn into his 17 year old self.
Young Mike (Zac Efron) returns to Ned’s house, where he has the difficult task of convincing Ned that he is in fact Mike. At a loss of what to do, Ned pretends to be Mike’s father and they register Mike back in high school to finish the life he never had the chance to live.
High school presents a lot of new challenges for Mike, such as dressing cool, keeping up with the latest gadgets and making new friends. But nothing compares to being in high school with his own children. He discovers that his daughter, Maggie (Michelle Trachtenberg), is not nearly as innocent as he thought she was and his son, Alex (Sterling Knight), is the brunt of the star athlete’s jokes.
But Mike’s most difficult realization is that he hasn’t been a very good father or husband. Mike befriends Alex and tries to instill him with enough confidence to join the basketball team. He gets close to Maggie’s obnoxious boyfriend and does everything in his power to break them up. Most importantly, he visits an unsuspecting Scarlet and rediscovers all the things that initially made him fall in love with her. You don’t know what you have until you lose it.
Through his experiences, Mike realizes that he had chosen the perfect life he just never appreciated it. Now, he must figure out a way to transform back into his older self and win back his wife and kids.

Its no doubt that the main attraction of this movie is Zac Efron. Forget about how predictable it can be. Sit back and prepare for a good laugh! It is very comedy but then at the same time touching. The movie also injects basic values that a person should have. The storyline was wonderful and catch this movie before it’s too late!! Btw, i just simply love the part where Ned and Principal Jane are at the restaurant.

Singapore stockpiles enough treatment courses for swine flu

SINGAPORE: There are enough courses of medicine stockpiled in Singapore should an outbreak of swine flu occur here. Hospitals are also freeing up more beds as a precautionary measure should a flu pandemic hit.
At Tan Tock Seng Hospital, if someone shows up with a fever of more than 38 degrees Celsius, has respiratory problems, and has been to affected countries in the last seven days, tests will first be done to determine if the person has one of Singapore’s usual circulating flu strains.
If the strain does not resemble the common ones, its genome sequence will be mapped and the person will be quarantined in the Communicable Disease Centre (CDC).
Dr Lyn James, director, Communicable Diseases Department, Health Ministry (MOH), said: “Once we identify patients with this untypical Influenza A, we will do further testing to confirm. At this present time, our capability is to do partial sequencing of this virus for preliminary confirmation.
“We can sequence the critical part of the virus and compare it with the swine influenza virus and this will tell us that it is very, very highly likely to be swine influenza virus.”
Currently, it takes up to seven days to confirm a case of swine flu here, but it may be faster once the diagnostic test kit, which is being developed, gets the green light.
As one third of swine flu virus carriers do not show any symptoms, MOH has called on members of the public who have been to affected countries to avoid crowded places for seven days after they return as this is the incubation period for flu.
There were no drugs available to treat SARS when it happened in 2003. But this time round, the drugs Tamiflu and Relenza appear to be effective in treating swine flu, provided that the treatment starts early, within 48 hours of the manifestation of the symptoms.
Doctors have stressed that Tamiflu is not a vaccine and taking it now will adversely impact your ability to fight swine flu should you contract the disease.
There are currently 1.15 million courses of Tamiflu and 50,000 courses of Relenza stocked in Singapore.
Doctors said current vaccines available in the market are not effective against swine flu and there is a chance that the flu could hit more than once.
Professor K Satku, director, Medical Services, MOH, said: “You cannot assume, like in the case of SARS, when it fizzled out, it just fizzled out. The 1918 pandemic came back again and therefore we must understand that there is a possibility a second wave may take place, and possibly even a third. That’s what happens sometimes. We must be prepared for the long haul.”
Hospitals have been told to postpone elective surgeries, so that beds will be freed up in the event of an outbreak.

In each citizen profile you have the ‘Donate‘ button. After you click on it, you’ll access the donation panel where you can transfer your products (by using a drag&drop system) or eRepublik currency to other citizens.

Shouts are used in eRepublik as a way to communicate with the community. You can see the shoutbox on the homepage with three types of tabs: friends, officials and everyone. In order for a citizen to create a newspaper, he/she must have at least level 8 experience. In the menu, under the ‘My places’ tab, you have the ‘Newspaper’ button. If you are not a newspaper owner you can become one for the cost of 2 Gold.
